NYC galleries that updated their sites

Week of October 6, 2026 – October 12, 2026

93 of the 235 galleries we track changed something on their website in the past seven days — about 40% of the map. That's roughly the usual pace; we average about 91.0 a week.

Manhattan led the week with 71 galleries showing site changes, followed by Brooklyn (18), Bronx (2), Queens (1), Staten Island (1). A change can mean a new exhibition going up, a run of dates being extended, or simply a fresh set of images.

For 44 of the 93 we could read what was new: headings that appeared on the gallery's homepage this week, which is usually a show title or an artist's name. Those are listed under the gallery. For the rest we can only tell that the page changed, so treat them as a shortlist worth checking rather than a guarantee of a new show.

That makes it the 2nd-busiest week in this archive so far.

How we know. Every day we fetch the website of each gallery on the map and compare it with the copy we saw the day before. When a page changes, that gallery gets flagged here and shows up green on the map for eight days, and any headings that are new since the day before are quoted under its name. It's an imperfect signal — a gallery that never updates its site won't appear here even if it has a superb show up — but it's the closest thing to a live pulse of the city's gallery calendar that we know of.
